Merging On The Mind
In this week’s newsletter, we look at the prospect of the K Ingleside being merged with the L Taraval.
The woodfire pizzeria will offer lunch and dinner specials in an extended edition of the all-things-food event.
Ingleside’s very own That's Amore is making its debut at SF Restaurant Week.
The woodfire pizzeria is joining 150 San Francisco restaurants in a special extended-edition of the annual event that’s teed up with the Asian Pacific Economic Cooperation summit, an event that will draw tens of thousands to the city, including President Joe Biden and possibly China’s Xi Jinping.
“It feels exciting,” That’s Amore’s owner Ahmad Murad said. “We have a great pizza. We have good food and good service.”
That's Amore SF will offer two lunch-time specials for $38. One will include a one-topping pizza and pasta and the other will include any pizza and salad. For dinner, they will also offer two specials for $45. One will include any pizza, salad, pasta and three sodas and the other will include two one topping pizzas, salad and three sodas.
Murad said the promotion gives customers $15 to $20 off usual prices.
Murad also said an employee at the Ocean Avenue Association encouraged him to sign up.
“It’s nice because we’re going to be able to share with more people,” said Berna Medrano, the restaurant’s hostess. “Not just from here but everybody to get to know us and be able to try something different.”
This year’s SF Restaurant Week is 10 days, Nov. 3 until Nov. 16, and is billed as a way to taste the flavors of San Francisco’s unique and diverse neighborhoods through special prix-fixe menus. It was founded in 2002 by the San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau and allows patrons to try a wide variety of restaurants that can be at higher price points for a fraction of the cost. It is also presented by the Golden Gate Restaurant Association and is an effort to promote restaurants in the city.
Each participating restaurant will have at least one prix-fixe menu that has two-plus items or courses at varying price points. For brunch or lunch, which comes with two-plus items or courses, prices range from $10 to $40. For dinner, which comes with three-plus items or courses, prices range from $30 to $90.
Other nearby participating restaurants include ChouChou French Bistro in West Portal, Bar Nonnina in Inner Sunset, Beach Chalet in Inner Sunset and more.
We’ll send you our must-read newsletter featuring top news, events and more each Thursday.
