After five months at the post, Capt. Eric Vintero was promoted to commander of the Investigations Bureau.
Leadership of Taraval Station changes hands today after Capt. Eric Vintero moves to lead the San Francisco Police Department Investigations Bureau after a promotion to commander.
“It has been one of the highlights of my career to be the captain of Taraval Station,” Vintero wrote in his weekly newsletter.
Vintero was assigned to the station on Jan. 30.
“All of the members assigned to Taraval Station are some of the most dedicated, professional, and hard working people I have ever had the honor to work alongside with,” Vintero wrote. “I have also enjoyed building relationships and friendships with all of the community members of the district while working together to address safety concerns and issues.”
Lt. Aaron Lozada, who has been assigned to the station for four years, will manage the station until a new captain is appointed by the Chief of Police Bill Scott.
Lozada served in the same capacity before when another captain was temporarily reassigned to another station.
“Lt. Lozada is well versed with all of the issues and challenges in the district and is always receptive to the needs and concerns of the community members and merchants,” Vintero wrote. “The Taraval District is in good hands.”
