The annual OMI Holiday Toy Giveaway will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 16, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the I.T. Bookman Community Center courtyard.
Despite the latest shelter-in-place public health order, neighborhood families will have the opportunity to let their children have a physically distant visit with Santa Claus.
The annual OMI Holiday Toy Giveaway will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 16, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the I.T. Bookman Community Center courtyard. Children can take socially distanced selfies with Santa and pick up toys.
The event is a collaboration of the Office of District 11 Supervisor Ahsha Safai, Mission YMCA of San Francisco, Guidry’s Early Care & Education Program, Our Special Place, Miraloma Park Improvement Club, African American Early Childhood Educators of San Francisco, District 11 Democratic Club, OMI Invest Black, District 7 Supervisor-elect Myrna Melgar, Youth 1st, Our Kids First, Resilient West Portal, Southwest Community Corporation, OMI Community Collaborative, Greater West Portal Neighborhood Association, OMI Neighbors In Action, Neighborhood Empowerment Network, Taraval Station and the OMI Cultural Participation Project.
