3-Unit Housing Development Planned For Former Ingleside Church
A small church building may soon become three homes.
The church building once occupied by Rescue Prayer Mission across from Beep's Burgers on Lee Avenue may soon become a three-unit housing development.
A preliminary proposal for the project at 263 Lee Ave. was submitted by Shahin Saneinejad, the property owner who was once on the Ocean Avenue Association's board of directors.
The “development aims to provide transit-oriented family housing on the SFMTA Bike Network and is adjacent to multiple local and regional transit lines," according to the project application.
Openscope Studio, the architect, designed the 33-foot-tall project that will create about 4,500 square feet. Of the three units, one is a three bedroom and the other two are two bedrooms with one being classified as an accessory dwelling unit, according to the proposal. All are market-rate.
There will be a roof deck. While no vehicle parking is included, four bicycle spaces will be in the shared storage and trash room on the first floor.
A 2021 application to demolish the church was withdrawn earlier this month.
