The Ocean Avenue Classic & Exotic Car Show is back this Saturday after a two-year hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The community is really, really excited and thrilled that it's coming back after two years,” said Ocean View-Merced Heights-Ingleside Cultural Participation Project executive director and car show organizer Maurice Rivers. “We expect it to be huge, because everyone wants to get outside”
Rivers expects there will be more than 50 cars this year, double the amount of previous shows.
“A few car clubs that popped up during the pandemic, and they've expressed a lot of interest,” Rivers said. “We're probably going to be moving further up the block.”
Aside from retro cars, there will be a DJ, bounce house, games, raffle and photo booth.
The event is organized by the nonprofit Ocean View-Merced Heights-Ingleside Cultural Participation Project and the nonprofit Ocean Incubators.
