INGLESIDE, San Francisco — The greater Ingleside neighborhood is patrolled by both Taraval and Ingleside Police Stations. The following is drawn from station crime blotters and does not include all reported incidents.
Sunday, Jan. 19, 2020
A vehicle was reported stolen at 9:58 p.m. from the 200 block of Sagamore Street.
Ingleside Police Station officers responded to a report of vandalism aboard a Muni bus at City College Terminal. A person damaged a bus window by punching it. The bus driver told them that the person boarded another bus, and officers caught up with the person at Balboa Park Station. Another bus driver said the person damaged a bus window. The person was taken into custody and charged with felony vandalism.
Monday, Jan. 20, 2020
Taraval Police Station officers responded to a report of a robbery at 11:52 a.m. on the first block of Westgate Drive. The victim, a juvenile, reported being inside a store when a group of juveniles entered and followed him as he left. After being ordered by the group to empty his pockets, the victim refused and was pushed to the ground and beaten. The victim fled.
A vehicle-to-vehicle hit-and-run collision was reported at 11:10 p.m. on the 3700 block of Alemany Blvd.
A vehicle-to-vehicle hit-and-run collision was reported at 3:00 pm at the intersection of Grafton Avenue and Faxon Avenue.
Ingleside Police Station officers responded to the Balboa Park skate park at 4:41 p.m. Ten juveniles had entered the park, surrounded three other juveniles and demanded their property. An iPhone and a set of air pods was taken. Officers located the suspects a few blocks away and recovered the property. One suspect was booked for robbery.
Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020
An incident of vandalism was reported at 10:50 a.m. on the 600 block of Victoria Street.
A vehicle was reported burglarized at 9:48 p.m. on the 2600 block of Ocean Avenue.
A vehicle was reported burglarized at 6:41 p.m. on the first block of Thrift Street.
A collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle was reported at 5:47 p.m. at the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Lee Avenue.
Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2020
A forced-entry burglary was reported at 9:33 a.m. on the 600 block of Head Street.
Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020
Taraval Police Station officers responded to a report of an assault at 11:35 p.m. on the 400 block of Ralston Street. The victim said she had walked outside her house when two suspects suddenly approached her, pushed her onto the ground and punched her several times. The suspects then immediately fled.
A person reported items stolen by a guest at 11:30 p.m. on the 100 block of Broad Street.
Friday, Jan. 24, 2020
Taraval Police Station officers responded to a report of information about the whereabouts of a person who assaulted someone with a knife. Officers located the person, the knife and made an arrest at 7:30 p.m. on the 900 block of Darien Way.
A beige 2009 Lexus GX470 was reported stolen at 9:54 a.m. on the 900 block of Byxbee Street.
Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020
Taraval Police Station officers responded to a report of a non-injury accident with one party that did not have a driver’s license on the 100 block of Randolph Street at 9:14 a.m. The driver was cited.
Taraval Police Station officers responded to a report of an attempted robbery on the first block of Majestic Avenue at 12:34 p.m. A person reported being followed home. After entering their home, people attempted to kick in the gate.
