The greater Ingleside neighborhood is patrolled by both Taraval and Ingleside Police Stations. The following is drawn from station crime blotters and does not include all reported incidents.
Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019
A forced-entry burglary was reported at 6:16 p.m. on 00 block of Keystone Way.
Taraval Police Station officers responded to a report of burglary in progress on the 2600 block of San Jose Avenue at 2:06 p.m. Officers observed a suspect running to a nearby vehicle and attempted to pursue. The chase was aborted for safety concerns.
Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2019
Taraval Police Station officers responded to a report of a robbery on the 00 block of De Montfort Avenue at 2:05 p.m. A pedestrian reported that three suspects pushed him to the ground, snatched his tote bag and fled the area.
Taraval Police Station officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on the 100 block of Ashton Avenue at 8:57 a.m. The victim tracked her vehicle, and found someone inside. Officers responded to the scene and the suspect attempted to flee. Officers determined the suspect had a warrant and arrested the suspect for the theft, vehicle tampering, resisting arrest.
A black 2017 Ford Fusion was reported stolen from the 100 block of Ashton Avenue.
Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019
A motorist was cited on the 100 block of Ashton Avenue at 8:57 a.m. for driving without a license.
Taraval Police Station officers responded to a vehicle-to-vehicle collision at the intersection of Minerva Street and Capitol Avenue at 11:59 a.m. One driver was cited for driving without a valid driver’s license.
A forced-entry burglary was reported at 12:02 p.m. on the 1500 block of Ocean Avenue.
An incident of a vandalized vehicle was reported at 10:06 a.m. on the 300 block of Monticello Street.
Thursday, Dec. 19, 2019
A package was reported stolen at 2:37 p.m. on the 700 block of Sargent Street.
Friday, Dec. 20, 2019
Taraval Police Station officers responded to a report of vandalism to a vehicle on the 00 block of Randolph Street at 3:50 p.m. The victim reported the suspect broke a bottle and blamed the victim. The suspect then jumped on the victim’s vehicle. The suspect was located, found to have an outstanding warrant and arrested.
After a report of an individual yelling at people on the 1800 block of Ocean Avenue, Taraval Police Station officers responded to the scene at 7:48 a.m. and detained the suspect. He was found to have a warrant and was arrested.
A vehicle striking a pedestrian was reported at 6:50 p.m. at the intersection of Alemany Boulevard and St. Charles Avenue.
Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019
An incident of shoplifting with force was reported at 8:57 p.m. on the 1100 block of Ocean Avenue.
An automobile was reported burglarized at 8:04 p.m. on the 1800 block of Ocean Avenue.
An incident of a vehicle striking a fire hydrant was reported at 3:52 p.m. at the Capitol Avenue and Minerva Street.
A vehicle striking a streetcar boarding island at the intersection of Ocean and Ashton avenues was reported at 1:07 a.m.
