The greater Ingleside neighborhood is patrolled by both Taraval and Ingleside Police Stations. The following is drawn from station crime blotters and does not include all reported incidents.

Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019

The theft of a license plate was reported at 12:50 p.m. on the 100 block of Josiah Avenue.

A building’s windows were reported broken at 3:29 a.m. on the 200 block of Bright Street.

Monday, Dec. 30, 2019

A case of identity theft was reported at 9:39 p.m. on the 200 block of Monticello Street.

Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019

A vehicle-vehicle traffic collision was reported at 1:18 p.m. at the intersection of Geneva and Ocean avenues.

Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020

Taraval Police Station officers on patrol conducted a computer check on a vehicle at 6:27 p.m. at the intersection of Ocean and Lee avenues. They found the registration had expired in 2017 despite having a 2019 sticker on the license plate. The driver was cited and the vehicle was towed.

A vehicle was reported to have been burglarized at 8:00 a.m. on the 100 block of Aptos Avenue.

Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020

Taraval Police Station officers responded to a report of a person with a knife at 9:41 a.m. on the 300 block of Randolph Street. The victim said he went to speak to the suspect, his neighbor, about repaying a loan. The suspect screamed at the victim, threatening to harm the victim with a kitchen knife. Officers detained and arrested the suspect for making threats and brandishing a weapon.

A vehicle-vehicle traffic collision was reported at 1:13 a.m. on the 500 block of Faxon Avenue.

A three-vehicle traffic collision was reported at 8:00 a.m. at the intersection of Capitol Avenue and Thrift Street. One driver fled the scene.

Friday, Jan. 3, 2020

Taraval Police Station officers responded to an incident at 5:20 p.m. on the 400 block of Victoria Street in which the victim requested that the suspect, a family member, leave the premises. The suspect refused and locked himself inside a room. Officers did a computer check for warrant, arrested the suspect.

A white 2019 Ford Transit was reported stolen at 1:55 p.m. from the intersection of Sagamore Street and Capitol Avenue.

A hit and run traffic collision was reported at 11:17 a.m. at the intersection of Ocean and Brighton avenues.

Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020

A package was reported stolen at 1:00 p.m. on the 200 block of Broad Street.
