The inaugural OMI Diwali Celebration will be held this Saturday afternoon at Unity Plaza.
The five-day Hindu festival celebrates the victory of light over darkness including prayer to the Hindu goddess of wealth.
There will be free food, henna, music, a free plant giveaway, dance and a balloon artist.
The event is being put on by the OMI Cultural Participation Project, Grac3ful Roots and other neighborhood organizations.
