Balboa Pool reopens next week after being closed by pandemic health precautions for more than a year.
After being closed for more than a year as a health precaution to curb the spread of COVID-19, Balboa Pool will reopen on Tuesday, June 1.
“We are happy to see there is a schedule and just home there won’t be a problem reserving a time to swim,” neighbor and parks advocate Linda Stark Litehiser told the Ingleside Light. “The seniors of our neighborhood as well as the kids have been served so well by this wonderful pool. We can’t wait!”
The San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department has been slowly reopening the city’s pools.
Registration for 60-minute lap swim times and drowning prevention classes opens Friday, May 28 at 8 a.m.
