A popular coffee and tea shop has officially moved to the city.

7 Leaves Cafe opened its first San Francisco location on May 18 in the H Mart-owned Oceanview Village Shopping Center. The Southern California-founded shop currently has 43 locations with five in the Bay Area including four throughout Santa Clara County.

“I know some people are happy because we opened a 7 Leaves in San Francisco,” said Maricor Julaton, the general manager. “I hear from them, they're excited because it's their first time.”

The large shop has four individual round tables and two large tables with chairs across the dark wooden floor and twine lampshade lights hung throughout the ceiling. It also has a white open bar-style countertop.

Julaton said that business has been good, and the staff seem to agree.

“I love it,” said Jasmine Ho, one of the store’s employees. “The environment is so nice and it's so welcoming too.”

The menu offers all of 7 Leaves Cafe’s signature Vietnamese-inspired classics like house coffee with whipped cream foam and mung bean milk tea, which Julaton said are already fan favorites at their location. For a limited time, is also an orange creamsicle-inspired drink called Orange Dream.

Prices range from $5.45 to $5.95 with the option to upgrade the size for an additional 85 cents or add toppings like aloe vera and crystal boba and house-made honey boba, custard pudding and grass jelly for 85 cents.

The shop serves macarons from distribution service Vitco Foods that are pierced at $2.50 each. Flavors range from chocolate and vanilla to salted caramel, Earl Grey tea and more.

“I was really excited for this,” Southern California native and customer Joyce Park said.“I really don't like the boba in the city so I would really recommend coming here.”

The cafe’s offerings will be available on third-party delivery apps like GrubHub, UberEats and Doordash in a few weeks.

“If you're ever having a bad day, a 7 Leaves drink can make it better,” Ho said.
